Non-touristy Cu Chi Tunnels Half-day Tour (Max 12 Pax) organized by Cu Chi Tunnels Tours  helps visitors explore in more detail the legendary tunnel system of Vietnam, which is more than 220km long. The tour has 2 time slots for you to choose from: starting at 7:30 am – 2:30 pm and starting from 12 noon – ending at 7:00 pm, with prices starting from only $30.00 per person.

This is a must-see tourist destination for both Vietnamese and foreign tourists interested in the Vietnam War. The tunnel system is an important testament to the fighting spirit of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the resistance war against American imperialism.

The relic site is located about 70km from the central area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City, departing from the office of Cu Chi Tunnels Tours or your hotel in District 1. Along the way, you will enjoy the poetic scenery with endless rice fields and peaceful countryside. Before this area was completely destroyed by bombs from the war, Cu Chi tunnels still exist almost intact to the present.

Upon arrival, you will be taken directly down the tunnel to explore some sections and listen to the tour guide introduce the lives of soldiers during the resistance war. If visitors wish, they can try cooking with a smokeless stove to experience and then try the dishes. Visitors can even try shooting an AK-47, one of the weapons commonly used by Vietnamese soldiers during the war.

Cu Chi Tunnels Half-day Tour

Cu Chi Tunnels is a legendary underground system of over 220 km of tunnels, a must-see for both Vietnamese and foreign travelers who are interested in the history of the Vietnam War. The tunnels are now a historical structure of Vietnam and considered a heroic district for the role they played in the resistance to US forces during the Vietnam War.

The tunnels are located approximately 60km from Ho Chi Minh city. The tour departs at 8:00 am from Vietnam Adventure Tours office or from your hotel. Enjoy the scenery along the way, as we pass the lush, endless rice fields and the ducks are water buffaloes swimming in the rivers. You might find it hard to imagine that once the area was almost completely destroyed by bombs and mines from the war, when Cu Chi was a “free target zone “.

Once we arrive, you will get a chance to walk through some of the tunnels, discover the hidden corners and imagine what life was like here for the resistance soldiers. If you like, try to cook with the smokeless stoves used by Vietnamese soldiers to cook during the war. You can even try foods which the soldiers lived on. If you’re feeling brave, or curious, you can even try your hand at shooting at AK-47, one of the guns used during the war.

Head back to the city in the afternoon; the tour finishes at 2:30 PM. We will drop you off at our office/your hotel.

  • If you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded
  • If you are a “no-show” on the morning of the trip, for whatever reason, you will lose your deposit

  • a. Up to 48 hours before the start of the activity: full refund
  • Less than 48 hours before the start of the activity or in the event of a no-show: no refund
  • Flight delayed, food poisoning, getting sick unable to attend tour. Under those circumstances, we agree to reschedule your start date with an additional charge of 50% of the total tour cost
  • The refund is done using the same payment method. In the event of credit cards which are charged monthly, the amount shall be credited at the end of the current invoicing period. The exact time of the refund depends on the user’s credit card agreement. The refund by bank transfer shall be done within seven bank working days.
